Congratulations to everyone who particpated in our Spring Concert. All of the hard work was evident with fabulous performances by all!! Band News Thank you to all grade 7 and 8 band students for making this year such a success. Silver standings at the Oshawa Kiwanis Music Festival, participation at Bandstravaganza and the Spring Concert have made UPS proud! Both bands will be going to Canada's Wonderland on June 8th. Permission forms and information will be sent home shortly. Parent volunteers are welcome. Instrumental Music - All grade 8 students are working on their small ensemble pieces (duets, trios, quartets etc). We're looking forward to some wonderful performances. - Grade 7 Playing tests will be May 17-21. Students have the choice of either #65, 94 or 106 from the Essential Elements book
Junior Music (Grades 3-5)
- I teach music to the following primary/junior classes this year: Ms. Teskey’s Grade 3/4, Mme. Bencze’s Grade 4/5, Ms. Bell’s Grade 5/6, Mme. Kennedy’s Grade 5 and Mlle Houssam's Grade 6 Class - Grades 3-5 have been participating in recorder karate! Keep working hard for those belts! - Our UPS junior students enjoyed a wonderful concert at the Symphony in April. It was wonderful to see and hear all of the different instruments! - Junior classes have been enjoying singing Walt Disney songs in preparation for the Spring concert.
